Hepatic steatosis represents a common pathological feature in patients with chronic viral C infection and can be independently associated obesity, increased alcohol consumption, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia. These factors contribute to the development of hepatic HCV (Hepatitis virus) infection.
